Winter may be too cold to bring your snails outside, but that gives us a good excuse to have bonding time inside!!
ACTIVITIES TO DO IN WINTER 1. Hibernation Stimulation! (See “Autumn Snails”) 2. Snail Sweaters! Order some wool roving equipment online or buy it in your local craft store. Use specially designed needled to poke the colorful wool into a shape that will fit over your snail’s shell for a sweater! 3. Snail Christmas! Make a tiny Christmas tree and give your snails what they truly want for Christmas, food! 5. Snail Hanukkah! Construct a tiny menorah, sculpt a little dreidel, and break out that carrot gelt, for if you celebrate Hanukkah, your snails can, too! 6. Snail Kwanza! Gather the family, feast on assorted vegetables, and celebrate Kwanza snail style!
PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE-this one is pretty obvious, but winter can get REALLY cold! Do your research about how to protect your snails.
