For snails who don’t live the heat, fall is one of the best times of year!! Crunchy tasty leaves are within reach, trees are easier to climb, and you get to stock up on as much food as you want!!
FUN ACTIVITIES TO DO IN THE FALL 1. Tree Racing! Who will be the first snail to climb to the finish line? 2. Hide and go Leaf! Bring the outdoors in and let your snails hide in the leaves! 3. Hibernation Stimulation! Dig little holes in your snail’s soil and fill them with muffin cups. Put some straw or grass in here. Next, stock up on snail food for the winter, then when the snow blows in, your snails will have cozy places to stay warm and fill their bellies. 4. Eating Pumpkin! Snails will love to munch the insides of this seasonal plant.
PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE Fall is pretty chilly, and just like your snails, other creepy crawlies may want to hitch a ride on the leaves you bring in or even your snails to stay warm inside. Bathe your snails frequently to make sure no one will get the snail flu this year.
